Bár a nagy munkából, a Felnőtt fájdalmakból még hátravan egy fejezet, már közel a vége, ezért elgondolkodtam, mi legyen utána. Szeretnék megint egy nagyregény fordításába fogni, de okulva a váratlan problémákból, csak akkor kezdem majd feltenni, ha nagyjából készen lesz.
Amikor rengeteg gondom volt és kevés időm, hosszabb történeteket nem nagyon tudtam olvasni, de nagyon megszerettem a kis 100-500 szavas apróságokat, amiket néhány kedves szerzőm rendszeresen írogat. Ezekből szeretnék időnként csemegének lefordítani egyet-egyet, remélem, tetszenek majd nektek is.

I'm sorry to cram it all into one post but...
1. Thank you for all the hugs, sympathy and condolences. It means a lot for me and makes me feel much better. The Fandom is a (much needed) lovely distraction. <3

3. Wanna see a bunch of gorgeous dragonz? (My SG Team is Dragon, of course, ROAR!)
There is a stone-cutter with a cute and funny name Kajla Ferenc (the word pronounced "kyla" in Hungarian means bent down ears like some puppies or bunnies have, see example here: bunny ). He is a very prolific and talented artist carving romanesque style stone sculptures. I have more than 100 pictures of his works, some of them are dragons, so I put all the dragon pics into this gallery. I hope you like them as I do. (The first dragon will be build in to the wall of my living room.)

After 18 months fighting the cancer my father died last Thursday. The last few weeks were particularly hard and I barely left his side. I’m sad, but also relieved because his pain finally ended. ). Next week I have to do the necessary administration and arrangements *gutclenches*
I hope I can find the time to read you, my dear Flist, and you'll forgive me for the lack of my comments nowadays.Current Mood:  sad |

Today I strayed away a bit and read a Snupin drabble by sweetmelodykiss on Snape wearing a silk gown and a tiara. And I was stuck with that image. There was no chance but making this pic to regain my peace of mind.

I'm back from the art camp. I'm tired as hell and I missed you all :)

I'm off for a 3-weeks ceramics art camp. No internet just the old crap mobile dial-up *sob*
No reading (except my stored up fics with my new READER, thanks God for small mercies), no commenting, nothing. I feel so lonely...

Wankfest reveal

The </a></font></b></a>hp_wankfest reveals are up now and finally I can tell you all my scruples and uncertainty about my entry.
Sometimes things just don't work out the way we want them. I picked up the prompt already with an image in my mind, I've even drawn a sketch. But the photo I used for reference was too good, bright and detailed so my drawing seemed no more than a poor imitation. Trying again and again I gained nothing but frustration. Then the deadline came and I had to give it up. I chose a cut from one of my previous attempts (the scanning made it even worse taking away the pale colours of the skin) to arrange a montage. I couldn't come to like it but sent it, anyway.
But... yes, there is a but.
Before that I practiced photomanip on some photos I saved earlier. I used a filter out of necessity to save my (involuntary) model's privacy. I used a frame - again: out of necessity - as the cut didn't fit in the background. And I found the result stunning even if can't take the credit for it. I don't think it's my work because I didn't draw any part of it. The picture just worked out itself and I love it. I'm proud of it like I would be proud of an adopted child. Beautiful but not thanks to me. Does it make any sense?
This pic wasn't part of the fest but an 'appetizer' posted 1 week early before the start.
